Q 3: if the time of Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer becomes due while on return to home and I know that I am going to arrive before the time of `isha' (Night) Prayer, should I shorten the `isha' Prayer?

A: You do not have to shorten the `Isha' Prayer or combine it in advance with Maghrib. You may offer Maghrib on time, and offer `Isha' as four Rak`ahs (units of Prayer) on time when you reach your destination. However, if you combine and shorten the Maghrib and the `Isha', there is no harm, even if you arrive during the time for `Isha'.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
